Well, I had to change the name of the page because in just a few days Alex will no longer be a Kindergarten student.. WOW! I can hardly believe the year is almost over. In the last month he has had two field trips and is now getting ready for Kindergarten Graduation! I will add pictures afterwards.. its on the 1st.

Today was a VERY big day here.. Alex graduated from Kindergarten... He was kinda sad and very excited.. they sang songs.. and said a poem.. read us a story.. showed a slide show, that was made for them by a 6th grader.. and then called each of the kids names. .. It was a very special time and we are VERY proud of Alex.. :)

It has been a while since I have been able to update. BUT.. with Good reason.. a few day after Alex's graduation was the last day of school :) He is on his way to first grade.. His new teachers name is Mrs. Manley. Alex is very excited as he has friends that will be with him next year .. After Graduation we got our stuff ready to leave town to go to South Carolina for my brothers graduation from USMC Boot Camp.. OOHRAH! that was wonderful.. .. he is a changed guy.. in a great way.. While we where down there Alex also got to see the ocean for the first time.. He loved it.. We came home from there on Saturday the 18th and then we got ready for Cub Scout Day Camp that was this week that just ended.. We had a great time.. Alex got to shoot arrows in Archery and Bb Guns.. and make crafts! Now.. we are sunburned and exhausted,. but we are having a great summer so far! :)

Today is the first free day I have had in what seems like forever. The week of the 13th we left for SC and spent the whole week there and left on Saturday the 18th.. Then we came home and got ready for Day Camp.. :) Alex had a great time doing that.. BUT man.. are we all worn out from all the constant stuff the last two weeks have brought.. This week we have nothing major going on.. But next week we have plans for a ballgame on the 4th of July.. and then the week after that Alex is registered for a session of Penn State Kids Kollege! :) I think he will really like that,,..I will put some pictures on here from our trip as well :) Enjoy

Back to School Plans are in full swing... Clothes to get ... The perfect book bag to find.. stuff.. stuff.. lol :) Cub Scouts will be starting up full swing very soon.. We had a beginning of the year meeting and corn boil last week.. It was nice to get some information and speak to some people before we start full tilt this year.. This last week or so was a fun one.. we had two family reunions and a surprise 80th birthday party for my grandmother :) that was really fun.. I think she was really greatful for it.. to get to see all her kids and grandkids and whatnot.. so that was nice... putting a picture at the side of her whispering to alex.. lol..
Lots of things happening here lately. ~ Last week Alex went to the Dentist and while he was there he had the Dentist pull out his wiggly tooth.. and then again today he lost ANOTHER one.. bringing the grand total of teeth lost to 4 :) ~Also, He also had an eye doctors appointment this week.. his vision is doing well.. and his appt was scheduled for another 6 months from now.. He also got new glasses as his where falling apart and could not last anylonger..~Alex had a bug at our family reunion.. see picture next to this entry.. Woohoo.. he was so proud of himself.. ~AND.. a letter came from the school saying his meet the teacher is scheduled for the end of August.. the day before school starts.. YAY>. he is very excited..

Things have been so busy here that I have not really had a chance to update either of these journals I keep, Mine or Alex's .. I would like to say I hope to do better in the future but I know better than to make a promise like that. Things have been crazy around here so far this school year. Between a new principal who we REALLY are not impressed with, to some issues with the place we have our scout meeting scout meetings at its just been a whirlwind and I don't see it slowing down any time soon.. SCARY>>.lol.. Hopefully the scout issues should be taken are of soon.. Or at least not be an issue anymore.. the Principal, now thats a diffrent story I am afraid and will take a LOT more work to deal with .. Lovely!

Been a long month since I last updated I know, but it truly has been a LONG month.. Alex started school September First and LOVES his new teacher. She really understands him and his needs which is GREAT.. the principal on the other hand is a diffrent story.. he is a VERY unwelcome addition to our school. Right now I don't have a picture of Alex on the first day of school. We got off to a crazy start ( we missed the alarm) and I forgot the camera, But one of the wonderful moms took a pic from me and I will get it up here as soon as I get it from her. Alex also started Cub Scout meeting this month. He has a sign up night pack meeting on the 16th and then will have his first den meeting next week with all his new friends.. We are very excited. We are the parent leaders for October so we have to get busy here soon planning 3 Den meetings and our pack activity.. Loads of work :) But we will enjoy it..

We are well into school now and Alex is doing great, he loves what he is learning and is doing great at it! Especially at the Math parts. He is also doing wonderfully at learning to read..We are also doing Cub Scouts now too. He is having a bit of trouble following the rules there in the social setting but we are working on it, hopefully it will get better cause he really does like going.

Life was very exciting here yesterday because Alex got his report card. Overall it was a very good card and I am very happy.. His teacher said he isn't reading at Grade Level but that is something we will work on. He can do it. I have seen him so it will just take some more work..Also.. as I am sure you have noticed. I have redone Alex's site.. Trying to make something I like a little better as the last version wasn't all that enjoyable to me.

Glad I did not promise to make more speedy updates, I knew it would be a lie.. lol.. As I am sure you can see I have changed the layout of my site a bit. I wanted something a little diffrent.. and this is hand drawn by myself :) Hope you like it. Things have been crazy here lately, between school and taking care of the house.. and Getting Ready for the holidays.. First Halloween.. Now we are getting ready for Thanksgiving .. We are eating at home by ourselfs.. something we have decided to do for Thanksgiving from now on so that we can start the Holiday Season off on a nice relaxing peaceful note.. So.. we will be having a nice meal here and enjoying probably a movie and some family time. Jason has the day off work as the new owner of his place of employment has decided that the employees should have off major holidays.. WORKS FOR ME! :) Anyway.. Just wanted to get a brief update in to go with the site change and say hello to anyone out there who actually takes the time to read my page.. sorry that I stink at updating.. its a hassle sometimes with the way I have my page editing set up. Hopefully In the future I will figure out some easier way.. Be sure to check out the Our Family Page link at the side.. it has a link to the updated Halloween picture page with Alex's 2005 Halloween Costume on it :) I am also adding a new picture on this page.. 19 more days til Christmas and one month til Alex turns 7 years old. The year has gone by very fast and its hard to believe all the changes we have had. Alex has Graduated from Kindergarten and Become a first grader. His Uncle has become a United States Marine. His one cousin has moved and another had a new baby. Life sure can change in a year. and yet lots of things stay the same. Alex still has a lot of the great friends he met last year in first grade. He is still asking Santa for the same types of toys this year as he did last year and he is still full of more energy than most normal 6 year old should ever have.. lol.. Lately he has had a growth spurt and last week at his checkup he weight 42 lbs and was 43 inches tall.. thats alot of growing in 6 months. He also has another wiggly tooth so when that one comes out he will have lost 6 teeth.. Right now he resembles a Jack O Lantern in the teeth department and he has been practicing the song " All I want for christmas is my 4 Front teeth.. " lol.. He had to edit it a little bit to make it fit him!

Christmas has come and gone. As has my birthday. New Years is fast approaching and we are also hard at work for plans for Alexanders 7th birthday party. He has invited 20 clasmates to his Pizza and Movie party at our house and quite a few have already RSVP'ed he is very excited! I am slightly overwhelmed as I have never really had a kids birthday party before let alone in my own home.. Hopefully we shall all survive and live to tell the tale of the 7th birthday party! :)

Things have been so busy here that I have not really had a chance to update either of these journals I keep, Mine or Alex's .. Sorry its been so long since I have updated. Its been a crazy holiday season. Yesterday was Alex's sixth birthday and he had a great day.. got presents he loved and really enjoyed himself.. Unfortuanatly.. he woke up a few hours after he fell asleep and has been sick since then.. So.. I am off to go cuddle him some.. but thought I would share some pictures first! :)

I really did intend to be better at updating this thing this year.. But seem to be doing only lackluster.. it takes a while to get the stuff I want in here and some days I just dont have the patience to do it.. So.. here is one big update.. Alex got his Kindergarten Report Card about a week ago. He is doing WONDERFUL :) lots of pluses and checks.. there where two minuses but both are in items he can do if he doesnt feel he needs to hurry.. ( Color and Cut) . This week Alex is feeling VERY special as he is the Student Of the Week. :) He got called up at the asembly last week and got a pin and a certificate and his picture will go up on the board in the school hallway. He is very proud of himself! :) I think thats it for now.. But will add a new picture for you at the side :) The first is from the Surprise party Alex's aunt and grammy and great grammy had for him! :) and the second is from playing in the snow ..

This month has come in like a lion thats for sure. We got a major snowstorm yesterday and overnight than closed the schools yesterday and delayed them today.. ( Alex was hoping for a snow day again) Right now he is back at school learning and having fun I am sure even though he wanted to stay home. Not much exciting going on here this week. Just snow! I put some pictures at the side.. The first ones are Alex at his Student of the week assembly.. he got to help lead the assembly..The next is the Valentine Mailbox Alex and I made for school.

Only 2 More days of School left this week before its time for Easter Break. Tomorrow Alex's class is Decorating Easter Eggs and Getting their Easter Baskets filled by the Bunny. Excitment is overflowing!

Well, Easter Break has officially started.. NO SCHOOL today. :) Alex was happy.. He stayed up late last night playing with his video game.. and chilled around the house in his Jammies all day today.. We have had a bit of excitment here this week as our home was playing host to a lost puppy (Jason found her wandering the streets monday evening) she was here til this afternoon when she moved on to a bigger home at the Humane Society.. everyone here loved her.. but we couldnt keep her.. our house is too small.. and puppies cost money.. so hopefully the ad I put in the paper will catch the owners attention and they will call and I can point them in the right direction.. OR.. the Humane Society will find her a nice home.. Shouldnt be hard.. she is only about 11 weeks old. and loves kids and cats and other dogs.. so finding her a home should be a fairly easy task.. Everyone here is sad to see her go.. But Hopefully they will come to realize this was best for her..

Easter has come and gone.. I think it went pretty well. Alex was thrilled with his basket from the bunny as well as his Easter Egg Hunt.. He tells anyone who will listen about the money the Easter Bunny brought him in his eggs.. lol..( obviously it was a big thrill for him) We had a nice day overall.. Ending with Dinner at my familys house so Alex could spend the evening playing with my niece while Jason and I chit chatted with my sister :) Today Alex is still off school for Easter Break.. and is getting rather Antsy.. Says he cant find anything to do.. lol..

Its monday.. time for school again.. The weekend went pretty nice all around.. Alex got to go see a movie he had really been wanting to see "Robots" earned himselfa toy this morning by going to bed like a big boy, not fussing at all thru the grocery store and just generally being better behaved than he has been lately.. Which is a plus and certainly lowers his mommys stress level..lol :) We also wrote a letter out to Uncle David today.. Mommy wrote a note and alex wrote one below of his own.. we will mail it off in the morning :) Hopefully our little notes will be abit of home away from home for ourMarine Recruit :) Also in big news this weeked, Alex recieved a special gift in the mail from a Local Country singer.. His name is Ricky Lee.. He came to Alex's school at the begging of march and afterwards the school gave out forms to order his CD .. well I ordered one for Alex and the teacher didnt get his money out ofhis bag and turned in on time... So I contacted Ricky Lee Via his site about what happend and wondered if I could buy a CD.. he emailed me back asking for our address saying he would love to just send Alex a CD .. Alex was thrilled.. not only did he get the Cd he wanted.. But Ricky Lee also Autographed it for him AND..emailed me about a concert he is having in the near future with a lazer light show that he was sure alex would love.. I doubt we will make it as its a bit away from here.. BUT.. I will remember in the future thatRicky Lee is a nice guy and I will be more than willing to support his effortsto make it big.. anyone willing to put a smile on my childs face earns points from me..

Today we went out and got Alex's 6 Year pictures taken.. A little late I know.. Butthis is just when we where able to get them done..he really wanted them done with the BIG number 6 :) He is soo cute.. lol.. I am gonna put one on this page and then will upload the others later to a seperate page and post the address here..

For the last week or so Alex has been keeping us updated on the progress of some Caterpillers they have in their classroom as guests.. well yesterday a note came home saying that the Caterpillers are now butterflys and are being released today :) So.. we showed up early for dimissal and along with class and some other parents watched the butterflys go live in their new home.. THE BIG WORLD~! :) A picture of one at the side

For the last week or so Alex has been keeping us updated on the progress of some Caterpillers they have in their classroom as guests.. well yesterday a note came home saying that the Caterpillers are now butterflys and are being released today :) So.. we showed up early for dimissal and along with class and some other parents watched the butterflys go live in their new home.. THE BIG WORLD~! :) A picture of one at the side
